The demand has increased for buckwheat, pasta, personal care, and house cleaning products.

Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade sent a letter of recommendation to retail chain managers stating the need to maintain goods stocks.

ACORT and state officials are developing mechanisms for the fast delivery of products that are in high demand to the shelves of the stores, reports Izvestia newspaper.

The sales in Moscow stores increased by 54% over the week of March 9-15 compared with the same period last year.

The average bill also increased one and a half times, up to 2.6 thousand rubles. At the same time, Russians prefer to purchase goods in bigger supermarkets to buy everything they need in one place.
